You might not ever get rich
But let me tell you it’s better than digging a ditch
There ain’t no telling who you might meet
A movie star or maybe even an Indian chief…” or so sang Rolls Royce in their 1975 disco smash hit single “Carwash.” You can buy the song here on iTunes.
The whole idea of washing your car is a summer time ritual that ranks right up there with eating Peeps at Easter time – either you hate it or you love it.
Mr. Bricks actually enjoys a good car wash. The ultimate car wash is in Hollywood on Sunset Blvd. They have a hard-working crew that will make your Mazda shine as much as a mazaratti. OK, well not quite, but the car wash workers seem to put just as much effort into every car, even if it is a piece of crap. kudos for them for working hard and not being jaded. They are probably the least jaded people in Hollywood. So next time you’re in Hollywood, they are located at 7955 Sunset Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90046
But not everyone lives in La La Land and/or not everyone can afford to have someone else wash their car. So sometimes that falls upon your own shoulders. If it does hopefully you are the type of person who embraces it. If not, hey, it could be worse. You could have to clean up cat vomit… which is why sometimes you must wash you car, because of the said cat vomit.
When I do wash my own rig it is an ordeal, but one I like doing almost as much as I like grilling cheeseburgers on the gas grill. Both have their equal rewards in my book. I enjoy washing the car because I usually end up finding lost items under the seats or wedged between the seats. I compiled a list of 5 things I found in the last car cleanse.
1. MP3 player – Hmmmm, I guess I didn’t have to go buy a new one after all.
2. Grocery list dated December 23. In big red letters it said don’t forget the olives. Guess who forgot the olives? It’s because my shopping list had vanished.
3. Jimmy Hoffa
4. The DVD of the 6th season of “Lost.” No wonder I couldn’t find it because it was lost. (think about it)
5. Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
Have a great day!
